Established in 1987, Altona Roosters is one of the oldest active clubs in Victoria. We have a rich history having produced plenty of NRL talent over the years, Including

• Jeremy Smith (2004-2016 Melbourne Storm,St George, Cronulla and Newcastle)
• Gareth Widdop(2010-Melbourne Storm,St George& Warrington)
• Dury Low(2010-2014 Canberra Raiders, Canterbury)
• Charnze Nicholl-Klokstad( 2017- NZ Warriors,  Canberra Raiders)
• Ben Nakubuwai(2017-19 Gold Coast Titans & Salford Red Devils)
• Zev John (2019 Papua New Guinea Kumuls)
• Jamayne Taunoa-Brown ( 2020-New Zealand Warriors, Queensland Cowboys)

Based in Altona Meadows, Roosters pride themselves as a family based Club, Much of our success is directly attributable to the Players, Committee Members, Parents and Families. Altona is in its 35th Year and still growing.

After incredibly successful years on and off the field , Roosters are looking forward to levelling up again . Altona have the highest Female Participation and membership base, with teams from U14s to Senior Women, we are looking at adding an U12 team if the competition permits.
